THE PIPPA PORTFOLIO

My customers continue to come up with the greatest ideas for products.
The Pippa was inspired by a customer who loved the graphics on some of my fabrics. She had plenty of purses, and zip bags but wondered if I could design a larger zippered bag. She reasoned it would be a showcase for the fabrics that had caught her eye and would be great for carrying magazines while traveling. In fact, The Pippa could be used for many travel related purposes, clothes, magazines, important documents, you name it. It’s also a great gift for just about anyone.

My Newest Bag- Introducing "The Tilly"

I was contacted, last year, by two women who told me they had been looking for the perfect bag for five years. They thought my bags were close to that which they were seeking and that I was the woman who could, indeed, create their Perfect Bag. With such confidence in my abilities and the intriguing promise of creating such a bag, I was happy to begin working on their vision.
During the process I was contacted by other customers seeking their own versions of "The Perfect Bag" Many of the original "Perfect Bag" ingredients were in these new requests. We must be on the right track I thought. While the original "Perfect Bag" order is now coming close to completion, I was able to make a basic model and fill a custom order this week.
What we have, for the basic model "The Tilly", is here in pictures. It's my Zelda Deluxe Messenger Bag body, but no flap , instead I added a zippered top. The side pockets still exist, one open, one zippered, the Zoe Pocket Set is still there inside, as is the bottle sleeve and the key clip.
Instead of two solid exterior panels for the front and back, there is now a zippered pocket, which can be on the front or back.
In this case, the customer chose to have the zippered exterior pocket on the front panel. She loved the tattoo prints and suggested combining the colors. What resulted was a really great looking bag. The Tilly has arrived!

A Beautiful Batik Custom Zelda Deluxe Messenger Bag

Another new customer looking for a custom bag. She had a few fabrics that caught her eye, but finally settled on this beauty. It's stunning!

Custom Roller Derby Girl Zelda Deluxe!

I was contacted by a customer who, along with many others, loved the Derby Girl fabric. She wanted a messenger bag and the Zelda Deluxe, with the extra exterior pockets suited her just fine.

I haven't been able to find more for at least a year, and believe me I have looked. Sweet Pea Mini Wallet Custom Order Extraordinare

I designed this handy little bag at the request of a customer. There is an earlier blog post about it. She ordered two and loved them. She wanted to have some custom made for Christmas gifts and we started working on finding the right fabrics. We had a great time! The list kept growing until we had an amazing assortment of bags. Three spiritual prints, a royal flush gambling print, roses, iris, trees, gourmet food, skeletons on motorcycles,shopping. I made multiple bags in some of the prints and we ended up with almost 20 of these babies!

Owl Bag Number 4!

I found these beautiful owl panels and thought, hmmm my owl collecting customer might really like a bag made with these! Yep, she sure did. My Honeysuckle Tote seemed made to feature the panels. I adjusted the size of the bag a little and added my interior pockets, one of her favorite Zoe features. Another one of a kind Zoe Designs bag out there in the world! I also have these same panels with a wolf as the center. I can't wait to use them.

The remainder of the great order

While looking for fabrics for this order I came upon an incredible zebra batik. The question? Could I do something with it? You bet! I fit it to the front of the Britta Shopper and matched it with this really interesting animal print "stripe". The result? One gorgeous bag, if I may say so!
The final piece was a Zelda Messenger Bag, utilizing a green and peach floral Asian print that turned out beautifully!

Part Three of The Great Order!

The Britta Shopper Tote is featured in earlier blog posts. This customer saw those posts and said make me three of those babies please! We tracked down some gorgeous fabrics to make them. A fan of zebras and cows, we found this incredible animal print and I made sure to feature the zebra prominently. This fabric looks like a painting, the colors are outstanding.
Then ,of course, the farm animal stripes are wonderful, the cows, especially, are so well done!
The other three zip bags were a style originally requested by this great customer. Padded, to allow use for so many things, I named it for her. The Judy Padded Accessory Bag!

Part Two of "The Great Order"

These fabrics were provided as part of the "use as you see fit" request! Some of the pieces were quite small but with a large floral print which was perfect for the smaller bags. The red floral was to die for when used on The Honeysuckle tote with black sides. It really pops. Since I know this customer likes large bags, pockets and my key clip, I made sure this bag had all her favorite features! I couldn't resist making a matching Raven coin purse and Scooter Zip Bag. Striking!
